Trish established the agency in 2000 with a vision rooted in service, integrity, and putting people first. After experiencing a disappointing insurance claims process in her personal life firsthand, she was inspired to build an agency where clients would feel supported, valued, and genuinely cared for. Through determination, resilience, and a deep commitment to others, she built Hedges Insurance from the ground up into the trusted agency it is today.
Originally from Oklahoma, Trish moved to Lynchburg to attend Liberty University as an English major and quickly fell in love with both the city and Virginia’s diverse and beautiful landscape. What began as a college chapter became a lifelong home and community, she remains deeply connected to.
Professionally, she has stepped back from working with all lines of insurance to focus solely on helping other business owners. She guides fellow business owners to not just meet their commercial insurance needs but provides over and above support in the special intricacies a commercial policy requires. She views her role as an assistant and partner to her fellow business owner customers, not just insurance agent to policy holder. While she immensely enjoys representing the seasoned business owner, her passion is in guiding and educating new business owners on the entire planning process, not just insurance.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Trish is a devoted mother to a blended family with three daughters and a proud grandmother of four granddaughters and two grandsons. Her passion for people extends far beyond the office, reflected in her longstanding dedication to community service. Over the years, she has served on numerous local boards, contributing her leadership, compassion, and time to causes that strengthen the community she loves.
Outside of work and service, Trish enjoys cheering on the New York Yankees, relaxing with a good book, cigar and bourbon, and spending meaningful time with family and friends.
With almost three decades of leadership and a steadfast belief that insurance should always be personal, Trish continues to guide Hedges Insurance with heart, vision, and an unwavering commitment to doing what is right for every client.
