  • Heather brings more than 23 years of experience in the insurance industry to the clients and communities she serves. Originally from West Virginia, she moved to Lynchburg in 1997, where she began her professional career working in finance at Ericsson. 

  • In 2000, Heather welcomed her daughter, who was born prematurely at 22 weeks gestation. She stepped away from her career for three years to focus on being a stay-at-home mom during that critical time — an experience that strengthened her compassion, resilience, and people-first perspective that continues to shape her work today.

  • Heather joined Hedges Insurance in 2003 and has built a reputation for combining deep industry knowledge with a highly personal approach, helping individuals and families feel confident and protected in an ever-changing world. Her clients value her responsiveness, attention to detail, and commitment to serving as a trusted advisor long after a policy is in place.

  •  As Vice President and Partner, Heather plays an active role in guiding the agency’s client experience and long-term vision, emphasizing relationship-driven service and community connection as the foundation of Hedges Insurance Agency.

  • Outside the office, Heather enjoys cruising and travel, exploring creative mixology, and gaming. She is also a longtime motorsports enthusiast and passionate fan of Formula 1, MotoGP, and World Rally Championship (WRC) racing. These interests reflect her appreciation for precision, strategy, and performance — qualities she brings to her professional life every day.
